We our now looking to grow our logistic/warehouse team at our Brighton location due to the great growth our company is experiencing.
As a logistic team member, you will be responsible for the following:
- Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. (first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis)
- Fill requisition, work order, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Use computer to enter records
- Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
- Work constructively with fellow team members in a diverse environment to meet production goals.
- Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
- Maintain inventory records
- Safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites within strict regulation requirements
- Inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests
- Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste
- And all other duties as assigned
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Intermediate computer skills & Intermediate skill with Microsoft programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
