What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at Vet Hero?

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will generate qualified customer leads that our Account Executives can nurture into sales opportunities.

The BDR will mine data from sources like HubSpot, Google, LinkedIn, Facebook and conduct outbound sales efforts via phone, email and social media.

The BDR plays a vital role in the sales process by partnering with the internal marketing team and our external leads to schedule appointments for the sales team.

A BDR must acquire a foundational understanding of Vet Hero’s software programs and products to ensure they are able to answer any questions they may encounter during the lead qualification process.

Developing sales techniques and automation processes are important parts of the job, and research skills are paramount to search for potential customers. Resiliency, a teachable temperament and being naturally curious are critical attributes an applicant must possess in order to excel in this role. This is an entry level position that allows you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals to build the career you desire, and ultimately climb the ladder inside the Vet Hero sales team.

The BDR role can lead to other sales opportunities within business development, or cross functional amongst Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Generate qualified customer leads for the sales team; Using multiple lead-generation methods, generate potential sales leads via the phone, email and social media and conducting a minimum of 60 outbound calls and emails per day.

· Document daily activities and coordinate with Business Development Manager daily. · Respond to all inbound leads and forward qualified leads to appropriate personnel.

· Connect with prospects via phone, email, or other social media avenues.

· Identify new lead prospects through marketing sources and social media.

· Telephone skills such as courtesy and communicating in a clear and articulate manner

· Ability to build strong rapport and establish trust and credibility with potential customers and the sales team

· Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure

· High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Work is typically performed in a normal office working environment

· Employee must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer daily.

· This position requires communicating via phone and/or email for extended hours at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
