Overview
VETS, Inc., is looking to add an experienced Administrative Assistant / Policy Analyst to our growing team. This is a hybrid opportunity working on-site at the Pentagon four days a week with one day working remote. Due to security requirements this position requires an active DoD TS / SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
Administrative assistant duties include:
- Work in a discreet environment handling sensitive and personal information daily.
- Complete transactional duties with special attention to detail, being organized, and multi-tasking
- Interact with our customers, team members/Leads, and employees.
- Handle and receive incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Other duties as may be required
Policy Analyst Duties include:
- Research, organize, analyze, and summarize data;
- Develop preliminary findings
- Assist in drafting written reports
- Assist in developing white papers and briefings
- Assist in preparing and presenting briefings
- Attend and document meetings
- Interact with experienced technical staff, management, and government clients.
- Plan, attend, and document meetings and conferences.
- Perform administrative actions as directed, e.g., process classified material, comply with administrative requirements, etc.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Strong and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient research and analytical skills
- Experience in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to problem-solve in a time constrained environment
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Military experience, or experience with contracting or the federal government a plus
- Requires a current / Active DoD TS – SCI Clearance
