Under the supervision of the IT Manager, this position provides internal support and maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware & software solutions and supporting the internal help desk.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
- Provides technical assistance and support related to agency computer systems.
- Assists with maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware & software solutions and supporting the internal help desk.
- Assists with inventory maintenance and administration of Veterans Inc. PCs, tablets, printers, servers and related equipment.
- Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, determines course of action and implements solutions.
- Provides end user support, license tracking, PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.
- Attends and actively participates in all Veterans Inc. meetings as assigned.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years IT support experience in a Windows environment with a two-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience. 5 years of document experience preferred.
- Broad understanding of information systems technology.
- Relevant experience in the following areas: setup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software, experience supporting a variety of WiFi-enabled devices and remote users, Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Relevant certifications (A , Network , CCNA, Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Support Technician) required.
- Outstanding Customer Support/ Service Skills to include effective communication and strong interpersonal skills required.
- This position requires some travel so reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- The ability to successfully pass all Veterans Inc. pre-hire testing including, but not limited to CORI/Background and drug screening
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
