Veterinary Animal Care Attendant
A general practice animal care attendant supports the veterinary hospital in many aspects. They are responsible for all janitorial, maintenance, housekeeping & kennel care duties. This is a fast-paced environment that relies on good multi-tasking, communication, and the ability to take direction from authority. Must have outstanding communication skills, and the ability to self-direct.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Veterinary experience and knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Strong animal handling and pet care skills
- Experience in kennel operations and animal husbandry
- Proficiency in animal restraint and medication administration
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Janitorial experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
- Familiarity with animal physiology and anatomy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
