Prospect Ridge in West Orange, NJ, is seeking an experienced and
dedicated Veterinarian to join our exceptional team as a full-time DVM. We’re a
general practice with a strong legacy, looking for a passionate veterinarian
committed to a long-term career—potentially someone interested in leadership
and even ownership.
Our team of 2 full-time and 1 part-time DVMs, supported by 2 rotating
LVTs, and 2 full-time assistants, (a 4:1 DVM-to-tech ratio), thrives in a
professional yet warm environment. We operate a modern facility with 4 exam
rooms (including one for puppies/kittens and a quiet consultation room),
equipped with digital radiology, digital dental equipment, a surgery suite,
ultrasound, therapeutic laser, IM3 dental system, ultrasonic scaler, electric
cautery, suction, and an EKG monitor system. We’re cloud-based with computers
in every room to ensure quality care. We see urgent cases during the day - referring
to ERs when needed, and welcome exotics. Visiting specialists provide services
like echocardiograms, ultrasound, radiograph readings, and orthopedic surgery.

Schedule:
- Monday through Saturday, with a
focus on work-life balance: with an hour for lunch and an additional hour each
day to write up charts. Saturdays are alternated and every other week provides
a 4-day weekend with 4 consecutive days off.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey DVM license in
good standing.
- Preference for an experienced
veterinarian committed to a long-term career, ideally interested in
leadership and potentially buying the practice.
- Strong communication and
interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
