Job description:
We are seeking to immediately hire a full or part time Kennel Technician! Buckeystown Veterinary Hospital has notoriously been voted Best of Frederick for over 16 years! As a Kennel Technician at BTVH, you must have strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and reliability. Weekends, evenings, nights and holidays are a requirement. You must be kind and accepting of all sizes, ages and breeds of dogs and cats. Everything we do here is for the animals and what is best for them. Knowledge of animal behaviors is a plus.
Requirements
JOB TYPE: Full time (35 to 40 hours per week), Part time (at least 15-20 hours per week)
SHIFT & SCHEDULE: 4 hour shift, 6 hour shift, 8 hour shift, 10 hour shift
QUALIFICATIONS: High school or equivalent (required)
Night shift (required)
Day shift (required)
Holidays (required)
Animal care: 1 year (preferred)
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning/Spraying down runs/cages
- Facilitate Playtimes
- Feed/Medicate
- Work with Rescue Groups
- Set up new arrivals
- Laundering used bedding and blankets
- Work as part of a team
Salary : $27,000 - $34,100
