Purpose
The Production Associate plays a critical roll by working safely and efficiently to produce products that are of the highest quality.
Core Responsibilities
- Operating production equipment, machinery, small tools to assemble, package, process or cultivate products.
- Monitoring production processes keeping an eye on equipment operation, material flow, production efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols, adhering to housekeeping standards, and reporting potential hazards.
- Collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to achieve production goals.
Manufacturing
- Run and monitor extraction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure daily production standards are met.
- Ensure that quality standards and objectives are achieved in regard to potency, color, terpene profile and overall appearance.
- Maintain and keep work area clean and free from clutter.
Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to all state and local laws and regulations regarding cannabis sales and patient verification.
- Strict adherence to Safety Data Sheets in handling and working with hazardous materials.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and production output.
- Verification that safety equipment is functioning for all monitoring equipment in facility for gases.
- Ensure all hazardous materials are properly stored and handled with the correct equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of production and inventory used and produced.
- Use of personal protective equipment.
- Accurately record time worked on production orders.
Operational Efficiency and Quality Control
- Ensure strict adherence to state regulations and company policies regarding cannabis product production, labeling, inventory control and state reporting.
- Monitor equipment and supplies; identify any issues with equipment, facility, or inventory levels and notify supervisor.
- Inspecting products for defects, ensuring products meet specifications, and reporting any issues.
Administrative
- Accurately record work time per policy.
- Keep track of stock levels, updating inventory application and reporting any potential shortages or discrepancies.
- Perform monthly physical inventories are completed, and records are properly updated and retained.
Additional Responsibilities
- Receive shipments of products, verifying quantities and identifying potential shortages.
- Selecting and preparing products for shipment.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age and able to pass state requirements for working in a cannabis operation.
- Strong understanding of cannabis regulations requirements.
Competencies
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Supervisory
This position will not be involved with supervising staff.
Work Environment
- Professional warehouse/factory environment with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Potential Allergens: be aware of and take necessary precautions regarding known allergens present in the workspace.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly expected to talk and listen. Position requires standing, walking, use of hands, reaching and the ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds. Ability to climb ladders to reach products on higher shelves.
Position Type and Hours of Work
This position is full time. Position hours are variable and based upon the cycle of the product and business conditions. Weekend work is occasionally required of the position.
Travel
This position does not require travel.
