What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARATRANSIT SUPPORT SPECIALIST position at VIA Metropolitan Transit?
Responsible for a full range of specialized operational support for a large division with a Manager, Administrators, over 70 Paratransit Operations personnel, and Paratransit Operators at the VIA Metropolitan Center and Transguide locations. Responsible for the performance of assigned duties, tracking deadlines, posting notices, maintaining departmental files and reports, and providing support services to maintain an efficient operation. Duties are of a routine and specialized nature and will require self-direction with occasional supervision.
Education and Experience: Must have completed high school or equivalent plus one year of business school or college and have two years related administrative experience preferably in Transportation/Paratransit Operations, or an equivalent combination thereof.
