VIAVI Solutions is seeking an Electronic Service Technician that will measure, calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot electronic circuits to written specifications using general or specialized test equipment. - This position ensures non-conforming circuits are repaired according to quality standards. - Ensures appropriate handling practices and quality standards for electronic systems are met. - Assists in technical orientation, interpretation and training as required. - Recommends tools, equipment, and test fixture needs. - Communicate with customers concerning the operation, application, and repair of company products. - This position is in Wichita, KS. First Shift: Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pm
Qualifications:
Qualifications: - Formal, post-high school training in Electronics - 1+ year of experience in component-level electronics troubleshooting (classroom training is applicable) - Experience with general purpose electronic test equipment including voltmeters, oscilloscopes, or frequency counters. (classroom training is applicable) - Experience working from schematics (classroom training is applicable) - This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible, you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred Requirements: - Minimum of a completed Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technology. Or, Associates Degree in Electronic Technology completed by May 2018. Or, completion of a military electronic program.
