VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital located in Lancaster, PA is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who enjoys practicing advanced medicine with a cohesive, tenured team. An overnight technician is present Monday through Thursday to care for hospitalized cases and advanced surgeries. We have a very experienced technician team, a board certified orthopedic surgeon visits once per week, and a cardiologist visits monthly for cardiac consults. Our rehabilitation department is well equipped with an underwater treadmill, therapeutic laser and therapy/agility room. Our patient outreach coordinator handles all surgery scheduling, treatment plans, education and discharging. A full time Associate Veterinarian schedule includes 3-4 days per week (about 35 hours) with no on-call hours and rotating every fourth Saturday. Lancaster, Pennsylvania is full of restaurants, art galleries, outdoor music, county parks as well as Buchanan Dog Park! Downtown Lancaster offers countless new restaurants, breweries, small business shops, Central Market as well as exciting nightlife. We have a minor league baseball team, theaters, Hershey Park, outlet shopping, and much more. The Susquehanna River provides an opportunity for hiking and boating! There are many local farmers markets to enjoy. We have easy access to the Lancaster train station, which can take you to Philadelphia or even up to NYC!
