Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing.
Experience:
- Ten (10) years with Master's or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of experience creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines for C4ISR or similar systems or equipment.
- Secret level Clearance required.
Job Description:
VNE is seeking a Technical Editor Supervisory III to help provide program management, systems engineering, and logistics support services to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.
The Technical Editor Supervisory III provides technical expertise and support in one or more of the following areas:
- Support the development and modification of system documentation or assist in drafting or authoring the following documents/reports/plans. The documentation shall include (but is not limited to):
- Backup and recovery procedures
- Engineering Change Requests/Proposals
- Installation/Modification Procedures
- Troubleshooting steps
- Common issue resolution steps
- Set up and tear down procedures
- Operation/Administration procedures
- Maintenance procedures
- User training documents
- Testing procedures and reporting
- Safety reports
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Local Change Review Board (LCRB) Documentation
- Baseline Comparison Matrix (BCM)
- Software Audit Reports
- DADMS Status Reports
- Configuration Item List (CI List)
- SW Test Plans and Reports
- SW Delivery Notices
- SW installation Guides
- SW Build Lists (SBL)
- SW Build Plans (SBP)
- SW Baseline Reports
- SW Version Descriptions (SVD)
- SW Development Plan (SDP)

Essential Duties of the Job:
- Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
