What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Lifeguard position at Victory Junction?
Victory Junction is looking for Lifeguards to join our aquatics team this summer! Lifeguards are responsible for facilitating and monitoring all the aquatic activities in our waterpark and boating/fishing activities on our lake. Lifeguarding includes competence in the knowledge and skills of American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding. Qualifications are preferred but we can also provide the ARC Lifeguard certification if needed. If you require certification, arrival date is May 27. Pre-certified staff will arrive on May 28. Lifeguards actively participate in activities and camper/family assistance when not in their designated program area.
**Room and Board are included in addition to the weekly compensation
Duties include but not limited to:
Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures in regards to the waterpark or boating lake.
Attend regular trainings and staff meetings.
Abide by all camp policies.
Responsible for the health and well-being of self and campers.
Perform all other duties and roles assigned by program staff.
Perform various maintenance duties to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our aquatic areas.
Maintain positive relationships with campers, families and staff.
Support and foster an environment of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.

Pay: $275.00 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
All Victory Junction staff members are required to have had the Covid-19 Vaccine among other health related requirements. Masks may be required in some situations.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Lifeguard Training (Preferred)
