Viewpoint School in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Campus Safety Officer for a regular, full time and part-time position. Shifts include, swing shift and graveyard shift. Position may include at least a weekend shift. Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position provides a leadership role in the campus safety and protection of students, faculty, staff, and property.
The candidate should have strong work ethic, and professional presentation and a friendly yet assertive disposition. The position requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, good judgement, reading, writing, memorizing, and multitasking.
Here are a few requirement and facts you need to know prior to applying;
• The school is located in Calabasas, CA.
• This is an independent school and you will be working for the school and not a security company.
• The shift may be 11:00 AM -7:30 PM, 2-10:30 PM, or 10:30 PM-7:00 AM and you may have to work one weekend day.
• There are approximately six mandatory work days throughout the school year, along with training and security meetings.
• Experience in law enforcement or security protection or combination of the two is highly recommended.
• Additional certifications, licensing or training in security or safety related field is highly suggested.
• The school will provide a work shirt, jacket and equipment as needed. You are required to supply the pant and shoes.
• The position requires walking, stairs, and standing for long period of time, or for long distance and in an outside environment.
• You are required to pass a criminal background check and provide a valid Tuberculosis (TB) test or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire.
