Summary
Regional Business Manager (RBM) responsibilities encompass the development of revenue and relationships with resellers and end-users in the assigned territory; driving education sales and creating awareness of presentation solutions are the key focus. The Regional Business Manager will work closely with other ViewSonic team members to assure account support and maximize identified opportunities in the assigned territory. Expected business travels 60% at the minimum, and as COVID procedures permit.
Essential Duties
- Manage existing and new account activity with targeted education end-users and resellers to ensure goals are achieved.
- Engage in end user and VAR account calls to enhance the promotion of ViewSonic in the territory.
- Engage with partners to increase the success of educations sales and presentation solutions in the territory.
- Present product solutions and conduct demos to all roles within districts and schools.
- Be a product expert on ViewSonic’s solutions for the classroom. This includes hardware, software and Professional Development.
- Complete call reports in Salesforce.com for all calls conducted daily.
- Develop quarterly marketing plans for the assigned territory in collaboration with Channel Marketing.
- Maintain and submit a weekly pipeline report. Provide rolling forecast where appropriate.
- Consistently provides competitive updates on products, promotions, pricing and services to market research and sales management.
- Participate in local, regional and national trade shows and other marketing activities as needed.
- Conscious on maximizing travel in the selected territory.
- Perform and complete other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent.
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience in the technology product industry, including experience with education end-users at director level, AV integrators, and national resellers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, and Salesforce (or equal) software.
- Strong presentation skills to small and large groups, virtually and in-person.
- Education RFP and/or Contract experience a plus.
- Possess a mature demeanor, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
- Possess a high level of energy with demonstrated ability to make a substantial number of calls, handle a high volume of accounts and maintaining a continuous pace.
- Must have excellent time management skill and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
- Accustomed to business travels and field work at 60% or greater.
Physical Requirements
- Travel: 60% travel; mostly in assigned territory with some nationwide travels
- Environment: As this is a field sales position, the environment is usually on the road visiting customers and prospects. Home office is the standard office environment.
- Physical Effort: Work requires frequent physical demands in terms of maintaining a continuous pace of business travel, and maneuvering and setting up demo equipment. (This can include interactive displays up to 86” in size with mobile stands, with proper equipment provided)
- Hazards: Negligible, little or no exposure to hazards.
