Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced culinary environment. To be successful as a Dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.
Duties
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine
- Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
- Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it’s clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
- Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before they are put away on dish racks or used by your fellow team members.
- Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
- Complete cleaning checklists during kitchen slow periods
- Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
- Clean food prep stations and equipment
- Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
- Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
- Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
- Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
- Sanitize work area at least once an hour throughout your shift to prevent cross-contamination.
Skills
- Consistent positive attitude and willingness to work well with the team
- Restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8 hour shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Arrive at work on time according to your schedule
