What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Villa Roma Restaurant?
Our restaurant is looking for wait staff who can present themselves with excellent service and high standards to our establishment.
Responsibilities
-Help guest select food and beverages by presenting menu; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; answering food preparation questions
-Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
-Serve orders by picking up and delivering guest choices from the kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments
-Respond to additional guests requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
-Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
-Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting guest to return
-Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to host; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
-Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Skills
-Passion for providing extraordinary service
-The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including; afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in casual service restaurant or similar tasks preferred
- Preferred to speak bilingual (English and Spanish)
