Front of House Assistant Manager
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front of house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses as well as Café counter staff..
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Train and supervise front of house staff to maintain high standards of service.
- Create and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front and back of house.
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, Café, Bar, Patio, and waiting area.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, such as glassware, utensils, and linens, and place orders as needed.
- Assist with special events, Farmer's Market, or catering functions as required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and management.
- Knowledge of food production processes, coffee preparation techniques, bartending skills, and catering operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and professionalism.
- Proficient in using restaurant management software for reservations, seating arrangements, or inventory tracking.
