Job Summary

To assist the Tennis/Pickleball Manager in administrative and welcome desk operations, as well as help with coordinating Gainey Ranch Village related tennis and pickleball events.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Assist the Tennis/Pickleball Manager with tennis and pickleball welcome desk operations, as well as the overall facility presentation.
• Responsible for working at the tennis and pickleball welcome desk for 30 hours of a 40-hour workweek.
• Communicate with Hyatt Concierge and Gainey Ranch Welcome Desk Staff to ensure appropriate courts, programming, and lessons, are booked for Village members and Hyatt Guests.
•  Assist in the growth, promotion, and coordination of tennis and pickleball activities for the club.
• Work with the manager to ensure programs are in place at the club/facility to service the entire membership base (juniors, adults, seniors, etc.).
• Help coordinate special events/socials at the club to attract and retain members’ tennis and pickleball interests.
• Assist the manager in creation and display of tennis marketing materials, adult and junior program calendars, socials and programs flyers.
• Solicit members to participate in the Gainey Village Tennis and Pickleball Programs and Events.
• Respond to inquiries from members and Hyatt Guests regarding Tennis and Pickleball Programs and Events.
• Build relationships with members by being present at tennis/pickleball events, including round robins, leagues, social events, club championships, etc.
• Work with pros to organize members at appropriate levels for tennis and pickleball.
• Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of the facility, its equipment and other property.
• Responsible for monitoring all areas of the tennis and pickleball club/facility to guarantee they are neat and clean.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Two years of previous leadership experience
• Two years of college education
• Thorough knowledge of tennis and/or pickleball club operations and guest services
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong Verbal communication skills.
• Excellent Telephone Etiquette.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire through company training. 

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

• Strong knowledge in club systems including billing, commission, and scheduling procedures.
• Previous guest service experience in a luxury private club, resort, tennis club.

Required Abilities

Physical Activity
This position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending and kneeling for filing.  Sitting for some of the time. Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.  Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Involved in activities where one must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.  In addition, this position requires running, grasping, and swinging on the Tennis Court.

Physical Requirement
Walking, standing, and running are required daily.  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, swing or otherwise move objects. In addition, involves physical movement which includes sports and activities related to membership and Hyatt events and programs.

Visual Requirement
This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing computer monitors and reading.

Work Environment
Involves typical office or administrative work and member outdoor Tennis/Pickleball activity, coaching and events in hot weather.
