Industrial Maintenance Technician Position

SUMMARY:
Performs plant and equipment maintenance activities to achieve a high level of equipment and unit availability to support production requirements. Repairs and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment within the plant. Participates in equipment reliability and improvement projects which increase/enhance production efficiency and capabilities. Repairs, Rebuilds and Tests assemblies and components.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a desire to increase their knowledge. Must be self-driven, highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic.

 Must be able to climb silos/ladders and work at heights
 Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
 Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedules and checklists.
 Performs preventative maintenance of production equipment and machines at scheduled intervals.

 Troubleshoot machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
 Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
 Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
 Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.

 Use proper lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permits to maintain a safe environment.
 Makes recommendations for equipment upgrades and modifications, as well as mechanical safety procedures.
 Familiarity with programming/troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC's, touch screens and drives are a plus
 All other duties as assigned.

WAGE:

 Base starting wage is $24.00/hour. Adjustment of the listed starting wage will be considered to those candidates who not only have the skill set and experience required but have prior maintenance leadership experience as well.

HOURS:
Vinyltech operates on a 24-7 schedule. Maintenance works the following schedule.

 Monday – Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm
 Overtime when/if required to support production or complete a job
 Rotating on-call upon completion of training

Vinyltech Corporation is a manufacturer of (American Water Works Association) AWWA C900 water, ASTM D3034 and F679 gravity flow VC pipe products sewer P

Our pipe is sold through waterworks distributors for use in municipal water, wastewater, force main sewer (color coded green) and water reclamation systems (color coded purple). Located in Phoenix, Arizona, we have been producing these products since 1983 and are one of the last American owned producers in the western United States.
Vinyltech is wholly owned by Otter Tail Corporation, which is publicly traded on the NASDAQ.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
