Seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A - Capital Projects
$100,000 - $109,000 plus 10% Bonus Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A
FP&A Team 100% in office - Irving, TX
1. Data management, modeling, & visualization skills utilizing SQ
2. Experience with IBM TM1 Cognos, Oracle - IProcurement is a plus
3. PowerBI, R, Python, or other similar tools is a plus
The primary purpose of this role is to support the mission of the Capital and Projects team in successful financial management of complex Capital and Enterprise programs. Specific duties include working with project teams and senior leadership on workstream-level financial management and serving as the finance & analytics subject matter expert during strategy determination & verification. The Sr. Financial Analyst is also responsible for financial modeling, verification method determination, & financial status reporting.
Responsibilities
- Validate historical capital investment and determine effectiveness of project portfolio construction
- Accountable for project financial management including monthly spend analysis & budget creation
- Provide financial advisory services to cross-functional project teams and contribute to strategy determination discussions
- Lead project teams through financial modeling exercises & manage financial governance artifacts
- Support financial management of significant enterprise initiatives
- Monthly updating & reporting on:
- Returns and/or return projections
- Spend performance (workstream-level & total program)
- Funding needs
- Knowledge and skills generally gained through an advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or Statistics.
- 3-5 years of financial management experience
- Data management, modeling, & visualization skills utilizing SQL, PowerBI, R, Python, or other similar tools is a plus
- Experience with IBM TM1 Cognos, Oracle - IProcurement is a plus
- Analytical capability to effectively analyze trends & hypotheses and make strategy recommendations
- Expert financial modeling & business case development skills; strong quantitative & financial analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment across multiple tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels across the company
- Keen attention to detail with superior organizational skills and passion for driving change
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
