To ensure understanding, through the delivery of effective learning experiences that are core-values driven and result in improvement measured by key business metrics. Area of responsibility 1: [Sales Person Training Programs]. Plans, schedules, and delivers training for sales personnel (Field, Inside Sales, Key Accounts) Ensures all training material and programs are consistent with Company ethics, Regulatory requirements, and any other guidelines and/or protocols Identifies learning solutions based on feedback, observations, and business performance Determines training needs by conferring with sales management, studying sales reports, and gathering feedback from sales team, field veterinarians and distributor partners Develops and manages training budget including costs for training delivery, materials and production, and participant travel expenses Designs and conducts on-going sales training for all skill and experience levels Conducts annual review of training business objectives ensuring programs are in alignment with corporate strategy(s) Expected results: Promotes an open and supportive learning environment that fosters knowledge transfer, targets sales competencies, and is executed within budgetary limits Area of responsibility 2: [New Hire Training] Prepares and facilitates New Hire Sales Training (NEVO) quarterly onboarding through proper execution of ADDIE model Acts as the trainees manager during the initial 2-week training period at Corporate Office Delivers training sessions on products, business practices, policies, systems, and other topics as needed Participates in interviewing and hiring of new sales employees (Field, Inside Sales, Key Accounts) Develops certification programs and criteria for new hires to successfully complete new hire training Monitors, evaluates, and reports on new hire learning progress by ensuring effective knowledge transfer techniques are being applied to accommodate various learning styles Oversees logistics and coordinates activities of new hire sales trainees during NEVO period Expected results: Effectively trains new sales representatives on product knowledge, sales skills, and interpersonal skills ensuring readiness for field sales responsibilities Area of responsibility 3: [Sales Person Development]. Conducts needs assessments and gap analyses; formulating comprehensive Individual Development Plans, Professional Goals and Objectives, and Career Targets Identifies development opportunities on both individual and group levels based on feedback, personal observations, and business performance metrics Regularly assesses the sales force through evaluations and individual sales performance metrics Provides candid and specific feedback addressing both strengths and areas of improvement Develops, implements, and executes new and existing development programs for sales team(s) Expected results: Virbac NA’s benefits package is competitive in the marketplace and complies with all legal requirement Area of responsibility 4: [Cross Functional Collaboration] Acts as member of the Sales Management team Works with Human Resources on the hiring, training, and development of Sales employees Works with Marketing to ensure strategic and business objectives are met by the sales team Manage internal and vendor resources to meet objectives Expected results: Builds collaborative relationships as an integrated part of the sales organization Requirements (Diploma and experience) Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in sales and marketing, business or a similar field, or equivalent in education and experience. 5-10 year’s experience in the field of Animal Health. Skills Previous experience developing and delivering training materials A Specialist applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: • Work is closely supervised. • Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. • Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
