What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometry Technician (training provided) position at Virginia Eyecare Center?
A busy, reputable, privately-owned optometry practice is seeking a, friendly, self-motivated technician with great communication and organizational skills to join our team. Excellent customer service and dependability are a must. Experience in the medical field would be helpful, but is not required. The technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of both clinical and administrative tasks in order to maximize patient flow and satisfaction. Duties will include, but are not limited to: conducting diagnostic tests, recording medical histories, instructing patients in insertion and removal of contact lenses, scheduling appointments and completing prescription prior-authorizations. Training will be provided. Hours are full time, and benefits include PTO, holiday pay, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and profit sharing.
