What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Analyst I position at Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual?
Essential Functions
Maintain accounts and determine if new accounts need to be established. Update accounts as appropriate.
Process payments distributed by the accounting department and received from county offices. Works daily
control listings to ensure money applied to correct accounts. Updates EFT information. Approves refunds
within level of authority.
Receive calls and emails from county offices, in-house personnel, and insureds and responds to any inquiries.
Train state office and county personnel on billing system.
Responsible for all money processed in Policy Services. Responsible for the analysis, research, and resolution
of all billing issues reported.
Research and resolve address returned items and maintain most current known address on the account.
Activate / reinstate accounts according to departmental procedure.
Confirm policy changes and related premium changes to insured policies
Additional Responsibilities
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
