Title: Account Representative
Location: Fully Remote
Shift: 12pm – 8pm (Mon – Fri)
Position Summary
The Account Representative is responsible for improving the overall customer experience and increasing sales volume, handling a blend of inbound and outbound phone calls, chat, and emails. From time to time, you will answer inquiries, resolve problems, enter, or confirm sales and escalate issues to the appropriate department or manager.
This role requires you to interact with hundreds of customers each week and sell Lawn Programs, related services, and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. In addition to being the best in the business when it comes to customer interactions, you will need to be confident, fully engaged, a team player, and dedicated to bringing a positive and enthusiastic outlook to work each day
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting requirements, providing technical information and developing accounts.
- Process inbound and outbound contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to customers and understanding their needs resulting in sales and achieving budgeted close rates.
- Obtain and enter accurate data to provide complete information and assist the customer/prospect in a courteous and professional manner.
- Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks.
- Utilize knowledge base and training, following scripts, policies and procedures.
- Escalate customer issues to the appropriate staff and managerial for resolution as needed.
- Attend meetings and training and review all new training material to stay up to date on changes to program knowledge, systems, and processes
- Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved procedures
- Follow up on the estimates both current and from previous years in a timely manner
Required Qualifications / Attributes
- Previous inside sales experience preferred, but will train the right individual
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Self-disciplined with ability to work independently
- Strong closing techniques with customer-centered approach
- Excellent organizational and professional oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer/systems skills are key – ability to quickly and accurately input data
- An aptitude for problem solving and negotiation
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent
- Regular technical training and use of outside resources in computer/marketing/Agronomy and customer service is expected
- Basic knowledge of Agronomics/Horticulture
- Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Education and Experience
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- 2 years in Sales and/or landscaping industry would be ideal
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to stoop and bend
