This position is responsible for timely, accurate and comprehensive review of diagnoses and procedure services. This position is also responsible for verifying charges and assigns valid ICD-10 and CPT codes, as appropriate, to ensure optimal reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for timely, accurate and comprehensive review of diagnoses and procedure services. This position is also responsible for verifying charges and assigns valid ICD-10 and CPT codes, as appropriate, to ensure optimal reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilites include:
70% - Analyzes and codes complex cases by reviewing documentation, confirms coding is in compliance with regulatory standards.
30% - Identifies trends/problem in medical documentation and recommends possible solutions. Assists with billing and documentation in daily interaction with physicians regarding various inquiries relating to CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience One of the following: Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or CCS
- -Physician-based (CCS-P).
- Five years of CPT and Diagnostic coding experience in a healthcare provider or a third party payer setting. Clinical knowledge preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
