Viridian is a craft cocktail bar and restaurant located in Uptown Oakland offering contemporary dishes inspired by Asian American nostalgia. Our award-winning establishment has received recognition from Forbes, Esquire, SF Chronicle, and more. We are looking for an evening cook to join our passionate and hospitality-driven team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one year experience in quality-driven, high-volume restaurants
- Ability to take direction well
- Professional demeanor under pressure
- Strong teamwork skills
- Good technique and ability to multitask
- Basic knife skills
- Food safety knowledge
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute food items stations
- Know and consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, as well as company policies and procedures
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation areas before, during, and after service
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
- Assist kitchen leadership team in all aspects relating to the preparation and execution of service
- Knowledgeable in all areas of the kitchen and able to fill in where needed
- Understanding of classic and modern cooking methods and techniques
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
