Job Description
The North America Product Client Strategy and Solutions organization is responsible for bringing best in class payment solutions to market that support the business needs of Visa's US client base, including issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, and technology partners. Within this organization, the Director, Client Solutions – Nationals, Partnerships will be a key member of the team responsible for all client-facing activities with both Visa’s National Issuer client segment as well as strategic technology partners. The scope of the team spans across all Visa products – core and value-added services. Responsibilities of the team include:
Client Solutions
Socializing and evangelizing Visa's product strategy, roadmap and benefits across all client types and segments
Understanding client business needs and priorities, defining client solution business requirements, and working with both regional and global product development teams to shape and prioritize product design and delivery
Educate and empower the broader sales organization on Visa products and strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally to bring one unified Visa Product voice to account executives and clients.
Thought leadership used in identifying opportunities for innovation and engagement with clients and work with the product management team to document, evangelize and implement these opportunities.
Deliver regular internal and external product webinars, and host client discussion forums
Utilize the voice of the client to inform Visa product roadmap
Sales Engineering
Partner with US sales teams on active sales opportunities, acting as product SMEs, delivering sales pitches that include product demos, solution proposals, and user experience
Perform client-specific technical due diligence and qualification, performing ROI analysis for the client for specific products
Define technical solutions that both satisfy the business needs and priorities, as well as best fits the clients technical architecture and existing partnerships
Client solutions is measured by the success of product adoption by Visa's clients and the net impact to Visa's payment volume and KPIs. The Director of Client Solutions will be aligned to specific clients as the primary point of contact for all things Visa Product. This position in based out of San Francisco, CA (flexible) and reports into the Senior Director, Head of Client Strategy and Solutions, Nationals and Partnerships.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
• BA/BS in computer science, business, or a related field
• Management experience required, including resource and budget planning, and direct management of employees
• Experience managing client services, professional services or consulting services
• Strong business acumen and understanding of commerce business KPIs
• Solid understanding of current and emerging technologies in the payments industry
• Ability to build successful client relationships with C-level client executives
• Ability to articulate a business benefit to an executive-level business stakeholder, with the ability to also explain details to functional and technical SMEs
• Executive level communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
• Effective in public speaking engagements
• Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 150,000.00 to 195,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
