Job Description

The VISA/CyberSource Product team is looking for a world-class Senior Product Manager to help scope, define, and launch new solutions that will change payment security, authentication, payment methods, and fraud worldwide.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated strong analytics skills in fostering cross-team collaboration with business, technical, and analytics counterparts. You will successfully demonstrate proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing large sets of complex data to deliver actionable product insights. You must be competent technically with a passion for payment technology trends. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but can also roll up your sleeves and get the job done. You leverage mental models and data-driven decision-making and can effectively communicate verbally and in writing with leaders of all levels. You have success in helping define 3 to 5-year visions and strategies.
Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager, you will size the potential impact of new ideas and help prioritize product roadmaps based on short and long-term impact. You will leverage rich internal and external datasets to conduct deep-dive analysis for new opportunities. You will translate ambiguous, unstructured business problems into actionable outcomes and drive clarity to the performance of our key metrics through well-designed dashboards and reports. This is an x-functional role requiring thought leadership and collaboration across our product teams and leading cross-functional projects (partner teams include product, engineering, finance, analytics, marketing, compliance, risk, customer service/operations).
In addition, you will analyze and deliver supporting business models for risk solutions that are financially compelling for customers and profitable for VISA. Specifically, you will be responsible for understanding the latest trends impacting the payment industry around risk management and chargeback management, developing new business models and product strategies to capitalize on these trends, and working across teams to help launch a new product.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• 8 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (math, statistics, computer science, or similar STEM fields), advanced degrees in similar fields, or Business (MBA) a plus.
• 3 years of product management experience in the technology space
• Experience influencing product strategy through analyses and data-centric business models and presentations.
• Experience with statistical approaches (e.g., hypothesis testing, statistical inference, regression).
• Gather data and organize information about the problem that needs to be solved or a strategy that needs to be implemented or improved.
• Experience with Product Pricing is desired but not required
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills, ability to lead cross-functionally
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Ability to influence the broader organization both horizontally and vertically across functional areas
• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition and creating roadmaps and defining requirements for the engineering team to build
Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 5 years of experience in management consulting, market research, product analytics, business analytics, and data science.
• Experience in building products that connect customers socially
• Experience in program management, product marketing, and business development
• Experience delivering software products and services in a high-growth environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate new ideas
• Experience with querying language, e.g., SQL, Excel, comfortable with working with large, complex, and potentially incomplete datasets
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
