Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
Worksite: Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Job Description
Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Staff SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
- Work with engineering leaders on long term architecture.
- Work on development of new products and enhancements to existing systems iteratively by building quick POCs and converting ideas into real products.
- Monitor health of the platforms and generate performance reports and provide continuous improvements.
- Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.
- Work with product owners to understand the desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
- Improve software engineering practices.
- Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Position reports to the Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
- Employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, followed by 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
- NET Core, MVC, or C#
- Angular (8 or newer version), and NGINX or any similar UI technologies
- Accessibility (508/WCAG)
- Microservices design and implementing RESTful APIs.
- APM/SIEM tools, such as Splunk or Prometheus
- Relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server or MongoDB
- ETL(SSIS) and SSRS
- Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
- Docker and cloud platform
- TDD and Continuous Integration using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or SonarQube .
