What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevOps Engineer (Hybrid) position at Visionist, Inc.?
Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph required
As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a team supporting the design and development of web-based tools to create an end-to-end system of containerized user interfaces, microservices, and data stores through working with a team of developers, subject matter experts, and UX designers. There are opportunities to develop on all parts of the architecture, including streaming WebSocket data providing real-time data presentation, smart query builders for searching historical data, REST API development, data modeling, and caching strategies. You will also gain experience with dockerized microservice architecture and AWS Tools such as CloudFormation, EC2 instances, S3, ECS, EKS.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support for deploying and maintaining software on existing systems, as well as migrating deployments to new cloud systems
- Research, design, implement, and manage software deployments including CI/CD processes
- Identify areas for modification in existing systems and subsequently developing these modifications within the contract
- Work closely with developers, platform maintainers and systems analysts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field. (Additional 5 years of experience may substitute degree)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Docker-compose, Helm, Git, Gitlab, Gitlab runners, Rancher, and Linux command line tools
