The Quality Manager position is responsible for the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the ISO based Vista Quality Management System. As the Management Representative, this position reports directly to the President regarding the performance of the Quality Management System and promotes awareness of customer specific requirements throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong knowledge of calibration, ability to read blueprints
- Must have a thorough understanding of quality processes and procedures including, PPAP, PFMEA, Quality Auditing, Statistical Analysis, Corrective Action, and Returned Goods processes
- Proven ability to lead a diverse team of technicians

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System
- Establish, implement, and maintain the ISO 9001 based Vista Quality Management System to ensure compliance to all requirements of the standards.
- Monitors, addresses, and reports on internal and external product quality, implementing processes and coordinating with all departments to ensure the company PPM goals are reached.
- Ensure a robust Corrective Action process is in place and completed in a timely manner to drive improvements in product quality and business processes.
- Perform and lead internal audits of the Quality Management System as required.
Customer and Supplier Relationships
- Interface with customers relative to customer specific requirements, product quality, quality audits and other issues pertinent to maintaining a solid customer relationship.
- Interface with suppliers ensuring the monitoring and feedback relative to supplier product quality and timely delivery.
- Perform supplier audits to ensure effectiveness of current suppliers and validate new suppliers and provide recommendations for improvements to the supplier’s Quality Management Systems if necessary.
Quality Department
- Build an effective team that works well together and with other departments to ensure all Quality processes and tasks are completed as required.
- Prioritize the work of the Quality department to ensure the top priority items are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee and organize the Quality Department staff to set goals and expectations, provide training and guidance, and to ensure continuous improvement of the department.
- Develop and facilitate professional growth plans for each employee in the Quality department.
Company / Cross-Departmental
- Directs all quality related activities in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Purchasing.
- Train others as required to ensure a better understanding of Vista Quality Management System requirements.
Quality Function Oversight
- Coordinate the processing, delivery and/or use of non-conforming items, until proper disposition of product or rectification of the deficient condition has been resolved.
- Coordinate with Production on the development and implementation of work instructions, in-process audits, and final inspection.
- Oversee incoming inspection processes to ensure materials meet required specifications, ensuring the required time frames for processing incoming materials is met.
- Facilitate the Returned Materials Authorization process including the disposition of returned items in a timely manner.
- Participate in the product development process by fulfilling the Quality portion of the stage gate process by the dates assigned.
- Follow all requirements to support Vista’s Quality Objectives.
