Dispensing Optician

Energetic, fun, fast-paced Roseville Optometry office in search of a full-time Optician/Sales Associate to join our family-oriented team. Our ideal candidate is tech-savvy, able to multi-task, and has good verbal and written communication skills. Prior optometry experience is preferred. Candidate must have an enthusiastic, compassionate personality with excellent customer service skills. All positions in our practice include communicating well with the doctor, patients and coordinating with other staff members.

Duties will include but are not limited to: answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, frame styling, selecting appropriate type of lenses and lens enhancements, frame adjusting, repairs, dispensing, collecting insurance information and verifying eligibility, collecting payments, insurance billing (VSP, Eyemed, etc.), frame inventory control, problem solving, troubleshooting, and performing necessary lab work as required (final inspection, processing contact lenses, etc.).

Key Requirements:

• Ability to work Mon -Friday 8:45am to 5:15pm
• 1 year minimum optometry or medical related experience preferred
• Knowledge of EHR (prior experience with Eyefinity EPM preferred)
• Detail oriented team player
• Strong communication skills
