What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavating Foreman/Operator position at VIZMEG LANDSCAPING?
As an Excavator Foreman/ Operator, you will make an impact by supporting our public and private sector projects. You will have the opportunity to work on parks, sports fields, trails, housing subdivisions and more.
Here’s what your responsibilities will be:
- Work closely with the estimator on production data and swift planning
- Work on storm sewers, utilities and sanitary sewers
- Work on stone and pavement projects
- Finish surface and amenities
- Operate excavating and loading equipment to include excavators, loaders, backhoes, and dozers

Manage subcontractors
- Record quantities and inspectors
- Conduct routine inspections and safety checks before operating equipment to identify needed maintenance or repairs and ensures job sites are kept clean and safe

Here is what our “Ideal candidate” looks like:
- 3-5 experience years of experience as an excavator operator
- Expert knowledge of dirt cut/fills, compaction and final grading
- Ability to read a blueprint
- Experience with specific grading, slopes, and GPS Equipment highly preferred
