Purchasing Agent

Vizmeg Landscape is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The Purchasing Agent will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our procurement processes. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies needed for our landscaping projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Here’s what your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

• Vendor Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Procurement Strategy:
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry best practices to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Cost Negotiation:
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Analyze and compare prices, terms and quality to make the best purchasing decisions.
• Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reorder points.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast material requirements for upcoming projects.
• Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, contracts and agreements.

Here is what our “Ideal candidate” looks like:

• 3 years of proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, or a similar role
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft office products
