Visiting Physician Services specializes in treating adult and geriatric homebound patients. We make house calls to private residences, senior housing buildings and assisted living facilities in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Essex, Passaic, and Bergen Counties.
Our practice is comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with the mission of treating elderly, frail, homebound patients with dignity and compassion .
We are currently looking for a Physician to join our team on in our Ocean County Territory, near Toms River, NJ. The position would be responsible for providing delivery of high quality care practices in the treatment of symptoms and promoting the highest quality of life for homebound patients and their families.
Schedule: 3 days per week, between Monday to Friday during standard business hours

T he ideal candidate for the Physician position will have the following qualifications:
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $217,065.18 to USD $296,131,88. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits. Responsibilities
Among the key responsibilities of this Physician position:
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
- Provides direct medical services and consultation to primary care homebound patients within established productivity guidelines
- Monitors the patient’s condition and responsiveness to the treatment provided
- Maintains complete patient records using the Electronic Medical record and complies with all reporting mechanisms
- Ensures compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Ambulatory Care Regulations for Licensure as well as requirements of other licensing and accrediting bodies, health maintenance organizations and other insurance carriers
- Acts as an agency representative with patients and their families as well as with other health agencies, groups and organizations
- Collaborates in the provision of formal and informal education for staff
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies, and guidelines of regulatory agencies
- Participates in community outreach programs when appropriate
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
T he ideal candidate for the Physician position will have the following qualifications:
- Licensed as a physician in New Jersey with education and experience in primary care settings
- Geriatric experience recommended
- Board certified in family practice or internal medicine
- Active CDS and DEA license
- Car and valid NJ driver’s license
