Reports to: Program Manager

OVERVIEW

This position, under the direction of the Program Manager, will support the Individual Placement Support (IPS) Supported Employment Program. The Program Coordinator is responsible for directly overseeing the daily activities and performance of a team within a nonprofit organization. This role includes providing guidance, support, and supervision to staff and volunteers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Staff Supervision

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
  • Directly supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor progress to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Program Organization

  • Assist in the planning and execution of programs and services.
  • Coordinate daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Address any issues or challenges that arise in the execution of programs.

Training and Development

  • Provide on-the-job training and development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about the organization’s policies, procedures, and mission.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between staff, volunteers, upper management, funders, and community partners as appropriate.
  • Communicate organizational updates, goals, and policies to the team.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress and address concerns.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, performance, and program outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit reports to upper management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Problem-Solving

  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the team promptly.
  • Implement solutions to improve team performance and program efficiency.
  • Provide support and guidance in handling complex or sensitive situations.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor and ensure the quality of services provided by the team.
  • Implement and uphold best practices in program delivery.
  • Gather feedback from team members and program participants to improve service quality.

Other Duties

  • Stay current with changes in program requirements and outcomes.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, business administration, related field, and/or minimum two years experience in a nonprofit or related setting, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with the addiction recovery process and knowledge of various recovery pathways.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of nonprofit management software.
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Be able to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
  • Be able to complete a background check (prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
  • Some remote work may be authorized.
  • Work is performed in an office environment with regular use of standard office equipment.
  • Some travel to supported sites required.
