What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Radiology Technician position at Volto Consulting?
Duties:
- Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
- Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
- The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
- The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
- The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
- The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
- Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
- Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
- Groin management post intervention
- Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
- BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
- Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
- This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
