Interventional Radiology Technician

Duties:

• Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
• Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
• The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
• The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
• The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
• The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
• Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
• Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
• Groin management post intervention
• Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
• BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
• Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
• This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.

3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Education:

Required Education:
-High School Diploma/GED.
-Associate degree.
OR
-Completion of accredited radiographic program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-NJ radiographic licensure.
-BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures.
-Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.

As an Interventional Radiology Technician, you will be integral to the healthcare team, responsible for performing advanced medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans. Reporting to the Radiology Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in medical imaging and anatomy knowledge to ensure accurate diagnostics. Your role requires ARRT Certification and BLS Certification, along with strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff. With a focus on aseptic techniques and documentation review, you will contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80.05 - $85.00 per hour
