Position: Shelter Support Staff (multiple positions available)
Age: Due to program requirements, you must be at least 21 years of age
Education: HS Diploma/GED
Location: Spokane, WA
Pay: $20.00/hour (Days) | $20.50/hour (Overnight)
Shifts: Day (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM), Swing (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM), Overnight (11:00 PM - 9:00 AM) Type: Part-Time with the possibility of moving to Full Time

What You'll Do:
- Provide Compassionate Care: Offer our young residents a warm, supportive presence. Show respect and understanding, helping them feel safe and valued.
- Assist with Daily Needs: Help prepare meals, distribute hygiene products, and ensure the shelter remains clean and welcoming.
- Support and Empower: Engage with youth meaningfully, listen to their needs, and assist them in accessing the required resources.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Follow shelter guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe and structured atmosphere.

Requirements
- Heartfelt Commitment: A genuine desire to support and uplift young people facing difficult circumstances.
- Communication Skills: Ability to engage with youth in a caring, effective manner and handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Experience: A high school diploma or GED/HSEC and at least one year of experience working with children or related education. Experience with high-risk youth is a plus.
- Certifications: Must be eligible for an Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) license and obtain CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s Certification within 6 months.
- Shared Lived Experience/Peer Support Experience is not required but is a bonus.
