Maintenance Technician II Job Highlights:

About the job:
The Maintenance Tech II is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property. Responsible for preventive maintenance, painting, and repairs inside and outside the property to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, and use enjoyment protection of residents, staff, and visitors. This is an entry-level position.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of full-time experience in building maintenance
- Proficient in English. Must have the ability to read and write in English
- Able to follow both verbal and written English instructions
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols
- Know how to turn the water valve and electricity off in case of emergency
- Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of basic machinery and tools
- Construction experience and/or maintenance of equipment and utility experience
Essentials:
- Make recommendations to the Community Administrator on necessary maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and property improvements.
- Repair and paint the building exterior as needed.
- Maintain adequate lighting for the interior and exterior of the property
- Schedule and expedite work order request
- Maintain a clean and orderly storage room
- Must be capable of using and climbing an extension ladder to access the roof, windows, and siding to make repairs as needed
- Safety: Know, follow and enforce facility safety rules.
- Complete required training
- Available to work on-call to ensure that twenty-four (24) hour maintenance is provided to the properties.
