What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Coach Manager position at VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA?

Essential Functions:
- Monitor the effectiveness of coaching across the CCR&R service area and support the continuous growth of the coaching staff
- Develop and implement monthly Professional Learning Communities with the agency to build best practices and coaching competencies
- Participate in monthly opportunities provided by LDOE for peer learning and redelivery to team

Development and implementation of an overall strategic plan for coaching to ensure that providers are assisted to implement best practices, implement strategies to promote sustained change, and support self-directed improvement, according to guidelines established by the Louisiana Department of Education, for effective implementation of
- Early Learning and Development Standards,
- Teaching Strategies GOLD student learning documentation and assessments,
- curriculum, and
- CLASS assessment results.
- Monitoring, scheduling, and conducting visits to early learning centers to conduct needs assessments, evaluate coaching delivery, and support delivery of division strategic plan for coach
- Regular supervision, support, and feedback and evaluation of coaches, as a team and individually
- Oversee Directors’ Network planning
- Build upon the established relationships between the program and the early childhood community, especially the members and partners of the local Community Networks, Mental Health Consultants, Child Care Quality Specialists, and others from Louisiana’s Department of Education
- Assist with timely compilation of required reports for La Department of Education, Volunteers of America, other funders, and other project evaluation
- Provide support for VOASCLA-PICC Special Initiatives
- Participate in VOASCLA management team responsibilities
- Support the implementation of goals and objectives established by the division
- Regularly analyze program data to use for decision making
- Perform other job-related duties
- In collaboration with direct supervisor, implement a personal professional development plan and participate in ongoing professional development and learning

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred and 3-5 years relevant experience in an early childhood setting
- Knowledge of CLASS, Teaching Strategies GOLD, Louisiana’s Early Learning and Development Standards, curriculum implementation, and Licensing and Health regulations
- Infant, Toddler and Pre-K CLASS observation reliability preferred
- Knowledge about principles of adult learning
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Criminal background clearance and no appearance on the State Central Registry
- Safe, reliable transportation and readiness to travel across the Partnerships in Child Care catchment area
