As an i Series Software Engineer, you design, code, test and implement new computer programs and applications using one or more of the following technologies; RPG/400, Free-Form RPG IV (ILE RPG), CL, SQL, XML, JSON and others as warranted by the application.

What You’ll Do
- Be responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle - Meet with users, obtain requirements, design systems, code, source control, create and execute test plans, deployment and quality assurance
- Maintain all existing computer programs. Locate errors in programs, redesign and recode programs accordingly, and test revised programs.
- Document all new and revised programs adequately.
- Monitor and maintain voice/data communications network. Identify sources of problems, and develop and implement solutions.
- Provide necessary software support for end users when possible. Train new users, and answer questions or solve problems as needed.
- Work on-site in Davenport, Iowa.
- 5 years experience with the IBM System i (AS400) and RPG IV, RPG/400, ILE, Free, SQL and CL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Building and using Restful or SOAP API end points hosted through Apache Web Server.
- Knowledge of DB2, RPG Toolbox, X-Analysis, ROBOT Scheduler, and System I Operating System.
- Experience with iSeries Administration (PTFs, Security, Monitoring) a plus.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
