VTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA.
What will you do?
Explores and operationalizes data sources using scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights. Applies specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Bachelors degree and 2-4 years of directly related experience or Masters degree and 0-2 years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.

Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Poly Required
• 3 years of experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL
• 2 years of experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
• Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience implementing standard NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText
• Experience programming in an AWS cloud environment
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) or IT configuration management tools (Ansible)
• Experience with a continuous delivery machine-learning project (e.g. Webapp in production, webserver running models, etc.)
• Master’s degree
