FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time
SCHEDULE: Mon -Thurs - 9 hours (in-office)/Friday - 4 hours (remote)
FLSA STATUS: Salary, Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance and Rotating Equipment Supervisor manages and oversees all maintenance-related activities and management of the Maintenance and Mechanical staff. The focus should be on increasing oil and gas production while maintaining costs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and manage the Maintenance and Mechanical staff.
- Implements maintenance management processes and procedures (specifications, inspection procedures, quality assurance program, materials management program, EH&S requirements, etc.).
- Identifying and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient operations.
- Ensures Regulatory/Safety for maintenance and inspection activities and system optimization
- Direct efforts to optimize maintenance and inspection activities.
- Reviews plans and other technical documents answers questions regarding the scope and timing of various maintenance projects, and monitors maintenance project costs and schedule progress. Prepares high-quality cost and schedule ( 10%) estimates, performs order of magnitude calculations, and works closely with various maintenance service providers to ensure front-end planning and detailed operational activities meet maintenance project requirements.
- Assigns, and manages competent maintenance personnel (employees, contractors, consultants, inspectors, etc.), ensuring that these resources support the maintenance goals by providing proactive, ongoing input into maintenance, operations, cost, quality, EH&S, and schedule.
- Facilitates and coordinates maintenance planning and pre-execution meetings of maintenance projects.
- Monitors and adapts inspection and maintenance practices to ensure ongoing suitability, and trouble-shoots project-specific needs.
- Ensure that costs are tracked and fall within budget amounts. If overages are anticipated notify managers or project owners as soon as possible for guidance.
- Review company policies and procedures and recommend revisions based on best maintenance and execution practices.
- Ensures maintenance operations and execution effectiveness by leading/attending/holding regular meetings as required, and providing feedback on operational expectations.
- Shares Maintenance and Inspection Best Practices (BP) between operating areas and peers.
- Coordinates resources between areas by ensuring the appropriate personnel are utilized, that surplus inventory lists are shared, and the purchasing department is utilized for the purchases of equipment and materials to lower cost.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Engineering degree (Other combinations of education and experience may also be suitable).
- 10 years of Maintenance management, inspection, and execution experience is preferred.
- 5 years of offshore experience in the GOM is required.
- 5 years of experience managing maintenance staff and strategy is required.
- Must have excellent computer skills and be adept in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or other project scheduling software.
- Must be able to handle several projects concurrently and make cost-effective decisions with little supervision.
- Strong communication, analytical, information management, and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities
- Has excellent knowledge of commonly used, multi-disciplinary, maintenance concepts, principles, practices, and procedures and intimate knowledge of project management, inspection, construction, and control best practices. Excellent computer, verbal, and written skills. Experience in preparing maintenance and inspection project management reports
- Maintains a solid knowledge of industrial maintenance activities, best practices and issues
