Pipe LayerLocation: Fort Collins, CO
Pay Range: $28 to $36 per hour
WW CLYDE is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer.
Responsibilities:
- Lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems
- Knowledge of piping systems, wastewater systems, storm drain, and other fixtures
- Knowledge of system operation and study of building plans or working drawings
- Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications
- Knowledge of installation of slide rail shoring systems
- Spotting Excavator operator to find existing utility expirience
- Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions and ensure no safety issues exist that would cause structural weakness
- Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers
- Cuts pipe, using hacksaw, pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine
- Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending machine
- Secures pipe to proper grade for gravity flow installation
- Ensures pipe installation is correct and double check to prevent any leaks
- Other duties as assigned
- Help lead others on the ground for safe operations
Requirements:
- Workers must be able to coordinate the movements eyes, hands, and fingers; use hands, arms, and fingers fully
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required
- Ability to push/pull/lift at least 20 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and E-verify
