Job Summary:
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support our day-to-day operations. This role is primarily remote but requires in-person property visits once a month (Stamford, Bridgeport, and surrounding areas). The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and eager to grow in the property management field. As part of your professional development, you’ll be enrolled in training to obtain your CAM (Community Association Manager) license—we’ll guide and support you through the process.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with tenant and HOA board communication via email, phone, and task management systems
- Track maintenance issues, coordinate with vendors, and follow up on work orders
- Help manage leasing documents, renewals, notices, and unit inspections
- Organize and maintain digital files, receipts, and internal records
- Visit properties once per month for walk-throughs, inspections, or meetings
- Support with monthly reports, rent roll summaries, and task completion updates
- Participate in CAM license training and complete required coursework
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable internet and personal computer setup for remote work
- Must be able to travel locally once per month (own vehicle preferred)
- Self-starter with strong time management skills
- Basic knowledge of property management, leasing, or HOA management is a plus
- Willingness to obtain CAM license (paid training available)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in property management or real estate
- Experience using property management software (e.g., Buildium, AppFolio, or similar)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
