Welder III

POSITION TITLE: WELDER

Position Summary

Following blue prints and drawings, fabricates parts and places in jigs for assembly and weld. May involve

Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.

Experience

• Welding of aluminum, carbon and stainless steel
• Cutting torch
• Blue prints and drawings
• Tape measure
• Specialty Vehicle Manufacturing Environment\
  
  

Skills

• Read and follow blueprints and work orders
• Understand welding equipment, settings and technique
• Proficient in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding of aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel
• Cleaning and preparation of unit
• Tape measure accuracy
• Safe usage of basic use of hand tools
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Squatting/bending/kneeling
• Standing for long periods
• Walk and move about – as required
  
  

Safety Requirements

• Safety glasses with side shields
• Steel Toe or approved safety toe shoes
• Welding helmet, goggles or other protective eye equipment
• Gloves
• Welding jacket or protective sleeves as required
• Housekeeping
• Other Department/Job specific Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  
  

Education

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
