SUMMARY Coordinates activities of associates concerned with shipping goods to our external customer performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans layout of FG warehouse, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. Advises associates on care and preservation of items stored and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping raw materials; and related problems. Recommends remedial actions for reported nonusable, slow moving, and excess stock. Reviews shipping records for accuracy. Schedules work for periodic inventories. Expedites workflow. Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Maintains harmony among workers. Adjusts errors and complaints. Prepares orders for shipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises one employee in the warehouse. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or regaining; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
