Summary:
As a CAD Drafter with WACO Products, you’ll play an integral role in the design and development of innovative aluminum structures and products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Precise Drafting: Use your expertise in AutoCAD and engineering principles to create clear, precise drawings of WACO products, ensuring each design meets rigorous quality standards for clarity and functionality.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with our sales, estimating, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless communication and project coordination, contributing to WACO’s tradition of excellence.
  • Innovative Solutions: Suggest design enhancements that boost product quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery, showcasing your strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, actively contributing to process improvement and best practices to advance WACO’s competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of CAD drafting experience required. An engineering or drafting degree is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and MRP/ERP systems. Experience with metals, welding symbols, and manufacturing processes is a significant advantage.
  • Team-Oriented: A collaborative, confident individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic Approach: Able to prioritize multiple projects effectively in a dynamic work environment, with a keen focus on results and efficiency.
