RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE
A 3 year minimum of retail experience or proven customer service experience. This position requires high touch and strong customer service skills. If you like being around people everyday and fussing over their pets, then this job is for you. You also need to become an expert on all the products we carry in the store.
To fill the role of a Wag Associate, you must strive to be an expert in canine health, nutrition, general dog behavior, and the benefits of the products we sell, to ensure customers see you as a trust worthy and invaluable resource and advisor. As the first and last point of contact with customers, via face to face, on the phone and email, you must deliver exceptional customer experience every time. You will assist our customers with making the right choices for their dog or cat, upselling and adding on appropriate products and making recommendations. Sales associates also process transactions at the point of sale system, receive inventory shipments, tag and merchandise it, restock, clean and so much more!
*High school diploma required. Working towards or have a higher education a plus.
*Comfortable and quick with technology and software.
*Customer service experience is a must.
*Retail or other sales experience preferred.
*Experience with pets/animals a plus.
*Advanced communication skills.
*Must be able to make quick and educated decisions
*Must love to smile….and of course, furry friends!
Subject to lifting up to 40 lbs and standing, stooping, bending and walking for long periods of time.
Schedule: Full Time Hours (weekends and holiday shifts). Must provide at least a 2 week notice for time off. Benefits: Competitive Hourly Pay, Discounts, and performance bonuses
